Formula & Ingredients
Capros® Amla Fruit Extract – 1,000 mg
Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is the core of this formula. It is one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C and polyphenols, and those compounds are what make it useful here.
Your blood vessels are lined with a thin layer of cells that decides how well they relax and open. Oxidative stress wears that lining down, and one of the first things to suffer is nitric oxide, the molecule your vessels use to stay open. Amla's polyphenols support your body's own antioxidant defenses, which is how a single ingredient ends up supporting both your cholesterol numbers and the vessels those numbers travel through.
Two 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials tested a standardized amla extract at 1,000 mg per day, published in BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Participants saw meaningful support for healthy lipid markers, and nitric oxide rose by about 51 percent.*
Berberine HCL – 400 mg
Berberine is a plant alkaloid from the root of Berberis aristata, easily recognized by its vivid yellow color.
What makes it worth including is that it works through a different pathway than most cholesterol botanicals. Rather than acting on the antioxidant side the way amla does, research suggests berberine supports the liver's normal role in managing LDL, which is why it also shows up in the blood sugar literature. Cholesterol and blood sugar are handled by overlapping machinery.
A 2023 systematic review in Drugs pooled 18 randomized placebo-controlled trials. At doses of 900 to 1,500 mg daily, berberine supported healthy LDL cholesterol levels. Circulation includes 400 mg as metabolic support alongside the amla core.*
Albion® Chromium (Nicotinate Glycinate) – 400 mcg
Chromium is an essential trace mineral, which means your body cannot produce it and has to take it in from food.
Its role is specific. Chromium supports the way your cells respond to insulin, the hormone that moves sugar out of your bloodstream and into the cells that use it. That is the mechanism behind the structure and function claim you see on the label, and it is why a cholesterol formula includes a blood sugar ingredient at all.
Pooled analyses of randomized trials in adults with type 2 diabetes, published in Pharmacological Research and Molecular Nutrition and Food Research, found chromium supported healthy A1c levels. Dr. Nedley specified the Albion® nicotinate glycinate form, a chelated mineral built for absorption.*

How Does It Work?
Healthy circulation depends on two things at the same time, and most cholesterol formulas only address one of them.
The first is the number itself, your cholesterol staying in a healthy range. The second is the condition of the blood vessels those lipids move through, whether they stay relaxed, open, and defended against oxidative stress. Your annual physical measures the first one. It does not measure the second.
Circulation is built around all three ingredients working on that pair. Amla covers both sides, supporting healthy lipid markers while its polyphenols support the antioxidant defenses that protect your vessel lining and the nitric oxide it produces. Berberine works through the liver's handling of LDL, and chromium supports how your cells respond to insulin.
The result is support for the number and support for the flow, which matters because that same bloodstream supplies every organ you have, including your brain.
How Do I Take It?
Dr. Nedley recommends taking 1 capsule twice daily with food. Two capsules a day deliver the full 1,000 mg of amla used in the clinical research.
Splitting the dose across two meals is deliberate. Berberine clears the body relatively quickly and is easier on the stomach when it is not taken all at once, so twice daily keeps levels steadier than a single dose would. Taking Circulation at the same times each day helps your body maintain steady levels of its active ingredients.
Warnings:
Not intended for persons under the age of 18. Consult a health care professional prior to consumption if you are pregnant, nursing, have a pre-existing medical condition, take medications (especially for blood sugar, blood pressure, or cholesterol), or take other supplements containing berberine. Berberine can interact with certain medications, so bring the label to your next appointment and keep up your regular lab work. Improper use of this product will not improve results and is potentially hazardous to a person's health. Use only as directed.
How Long Do I Use It Before Seeing Results?
Circulation supports an internal marker rather than something you feel, so we want to set an honest expectation. You are unlikely to notice anything day to day. The place this shows up is a lab report.
The research points to a clear timeline. The human trials behind the amla dose ran 12 weeks of daily use, so that is the window to give it before drawing any conclusion. Because Circulation works by supporting your body's own cholesterol balance and vessel function, the effects build quietly rather than arriving all at once.
Take it daily, keep up your diet and movement, and have your physician recheck the numbers you were already watching at the 12-week mark.

"In forty years of internal medicine, I sat across from thousands of patients holding a lab sheet with one number circled. LDL too high. Or HDL too low. Nearly every one of them had been told the same thing: keep an eye on it. But watching a number and supporting it are two different things. That is why I built Circulation."
Neil Nedley, MD · Internal medicine · 40 years in practice
I became convinced we were thinking about this number too narrowly.
Cholesterol is filed under "heart health." After four decades of practice, I do not believe that is where the story ends.
Cholesterol travels in the bloodstream that feeds every organ you have.
Your heart, yes. But also your kidneys, your eyes, and your brain. When I look at a cholesterol number, I see a window into the circulation supplying the whole body. That conviction, that the body is a connected system, has shaped every year of my practice.
Elevated cholesterol has been linked to a poorer response to depression treatment.
In a study of outpatients treated for major depression, those whose cholesterol was elevated before treatment were significantly more likely not to respond to it. That is one reason an eating pattern supporting healthy cholesterol belongs in a whole-person mental health plan, so the rest of the plan can do its work.
Sonawalla SB, Papakostas GI, et al. Psychosomatics. 2002;43(4):310-316.Low HDL and out-of-range metabolic markers show up in the same picture.
In a review of the published research, six of eight studies found higher rates of depression and anxiety among people with low HDL, which is part of why exercise helps so broadly. A meta-analysis of first-episode depression found the same pattern against healthy controls. And in a cohort of adults whose depression had resisted treatment, 38 percent met the criteria for metabolic syndrome. Cholesterol and blood sugar rarely travel alone.

A meta-analysis pooling 17 cohort studies and 1.2 million participants found midlife high cholesterol associated with a higher lifetime incidence of dementia and cognitive impairment. The data is about association, not cause, and I will not overstate it. But it reinforced what I had already seen for decades. This number touches far more than the heart and the blood vessels.
Wee J, Sukudom S, et al. Alzheimers Dement (Amst). 2023;15(1):e12395.Goal 01
LDL Cholesterol
The number you were told to keep an eye on. Amla and berberine.
Goal 02
HDL Cholesterol
The one that can be too low. Chromium and amla.
Goal 03
A1c & Blood Sugar
Cholesterol and blood sugar travel together. All three ingredients.
Goal 04
Blood-Vessel Function
The flow itself, including nitric oxide, the molecule vessels use to stay open. Amla.
Who I built it for: adults watching an LDL, HDL, or A1c number who want to support it alongside a sensible diet, regular movement, and their own physician's care. Not instead of them.
What each one does, and at what dose.
Capros® Amla Extract
1,000 mg dailyCholesterol · Blood Sugar · Vessel Function
One of the most studied botanicals for healthy cholesterol and circulation, and the core of this formula. It works on both sides of the equation at once: the lipid markers, and the blood vessels those lipids move through. Circulation delivers 1,000 mg per daily serving, the amount used in the human trials.
Across two 12-week randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials, a standardized amla extract at 1,000 mg daily lowered LDL cholesterol by 20 to 22 percent and total cholesterol by 11 to 24 percent from baseline, with significant differences versus placebo. Blood-vessel function improved alongside it, including a 51 percent rise in nitric oxide.

Antioxidant capacity, measured in the lab
ORAC is a laboratory test of how well a substance neutralizes free radicals in a test tube. It is a measure of the ingredient, not of an effect in the body. On that test, this amla extract scores well above the fruits usually held up as antioxidant benchmarks.
H-ORAC values assayed in vitro by Brunswick Laboratories. Laboratory antioxidant scores have not been shown to predict effects in the human body.
Why free radicals matter here: when blood sugar runs high, sugars bind to proteins and form advanced glycation end products, or AGEs, the compounds that stiffen tissue and drive oxidative stress. In laboratory and animal research, amla extracts strongly inhibited AGE formation and scavenged free radicals. That work has not yet been repeated in humans, but it is the reason this ingredient sits at the center of a formula built for cholesterol and blood sugar together.Rao TP, Sakaguchi N, Juneja LR, et al. Berberine HCL
400 mg dailyLDL · Blood Sugar
A plant alkaloid from Berberis aristata root, used for centuries in traditional practice. It is one of the few botanicals with pooled placebo-controlled evidence spanning both LDL cholesterol and blood sugar, which is why it belongs in a formula built for both.
In a 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis of 18 randomized placebo-controlled trials, berberine at 900 to 1,500 mg daily lowered LDL cholesterol by an average of 0.46 mmol/L, roughly 18 mg/dL, in adults with dyslipidemia.

Albion® Chromium
400 mcg dailyA1c · HDL
An essential trace mineral your body requires for normal macronutrient metabolism, and the ingredient covering the HDL side of the picture. Specified as Albion® chromium nicotinate glycinate, a chelated form built for absorption.
Pooled analyses of randomized trials in adults with type 2 diabetes reported A1c reductions in the range of roughly 0.5 to 0.7 points, alongside an increase in HDL cholesterol of about 5 mg/dL.

Ingredient research above describes what individual ingredients did in published studies, at the doses shown, in the populations studied. It is not a claim about what Circulation will do for you. Study populations had elevated cholesterol or metabolic syndrome; Circulation is intended to support healthy cholesterol and circulation already within the normal range.
If you take medication, especially for blood sugar, blood pressure, or cholesterol, talk with your doctor before starting, and keep up your regular labs. Berberine can interact with certain medications. Not for use if pregnant or nursing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Circulation different from other cholesterol supplements?
Two things. The first is dose. The amla is delivered at 1,000 mg per day, the same amount used in the human trials, rather than a token amount included so the ingredient can appear on the label. The second is scope. Most cholesterol formulas address the number alone. Circulation was built to support the number and the blood vessels those lipids travel through.
Who is Circulation best for?
Adults who are already watching a number. If you have had an LDL, HDL, or A1c result come back somewhere you did not want it, and you were told to keep an eye on it, this was built for you. It is for people who want something to do between lab visits beyond waiting, and who want that something to be backed by research rather than by claims.
It suits people who are already doing the work on diet and movement and want support alongside it, and people who prefer a natural-first approach but will not accept it without evidence behind it.
Can I take Circulation with other Nedley Health products?
Yes. Circulation is formulated to work alongside the rest of the line and does not duplicate the ingredients in Brain, Mood, Sleep, Calm, Focus. or Memory. If you take several supplements, or any prescription medication, review the full list with your physician.
Is this a replacement for my cholesterol medication?
No. Circulation is a dietary supplement, not a medication, and it is not intended to replace anything your physician has prescribed. Never stop or change a prescription based on a supplement. If you take medication for cholesterol, blood pressure, or blood sugar, talk with your doctor before adding Circulation and keep up your regular lab work.
